Overview
The Khazna Solar PV Project is ENGIE’s largest single site solar photovoltaic development, marking a major milestone in the company’s renewable energy portfolio in the Middle East.
With a total capacity of 1.5 gigawatts (AC) / 1.8 gigawatts (DC), Khazna Solar is set to play a significant role in advancing the UAE’s clean energy transition. Once fully operational, the project will supply renewable electricity to nearly 160,000 homes, helping meet growing energy demand while reducing reliance on conventional power sources.
Khazna Solar will also deliver substantial environmental benefits, avoiding approximately 2.4 million tonnes of carbon emissions every year. This contribution reinforces ENGIE’s commitment to accelerating the transition towards a low carbon future and supporting the UAE’s climate ambitions.
As a flagship solar development, Khazna Solar demonstrates ENGIE’s capability to deliver utility scale renewable infrastructure at scale, combining technical excellence, long term performance, and measurable impact for
communities and the environment.
