Overview

Barka 3 is a gas‑fired combined‑cycle power plant designed to meet Oman’s growing electricity demand through reliable and efficient generation. Operating under long‑term contractual arrangements, the plant plays an important role in supporting national grid stability.

The facility uses combined‑cycle gas turbine (CCGT) technology to deliver high‑efficiency power generation, contributing to Oman’s long‑term energy infrastructure since entering operation in 2013.
