Dubai, UAE, January 2021 – Global energy company ENGIE, as part of a consortium compromised of Nesma Company and Abdulaziz Al Ajlan Sons for Commercial and Real Estate Investment Ajlan And Bros Company have won ‘Utility Project of the Year’ award at the MESIA Solar Awards for their Jubail 3B Independent Water Project (IWP). The largest solar-powered water desalination project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia developed under a public-private-partnership (PPP) structure in collaboration with Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC), the project received the award at a ceremony which took place on 18 January in the Aloft hotel in Abu Dhabi.
