Typically installed on rooftops or nearby unused land, these systems maximize efficiency and sustainability.

Through a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), you will purchase the entire electricity output generated by the system at a predetermined price and contract duration. Monthly billing will be based on the electricity produced by this green energy system.

To ensure optimal system performance throughout the contract term, ENGIE Solutions takes responsibility for the solar PV plant design, performance, costing, and installation, as well as prescribed operations and maintenance. How did our Distributed Solar PV solution help NADEC reduce fuel consumption?

Our client, NADEC (based in KSA), a leading food processing company in the MENA region, wanted to adopt an alternative to the company’s fossil fuel consumption. In order to align with KSA’s sustainability initiative for large industries, they wanted transition to solar power and embrace a renewable energy alternative for their site. With ENGIE’s Distributed Solar PV solution, implemented on an area of land spanning 766,000 sq. meters, our client was able to reduce fuel consumption by 124,000 barrels/year, resulting in a decline of 53,000 tons of annual carbon emissions. The solar PV park was developed as part of a 25-year corporate power purchase agreement between NADEC and ENGIE, the first of its kind in the country.

How did Luik Natie, a leading logistics solutions company in Belgium reduce 2900 tonnes of CO2 emissions with ENGIE’S Distributed Solar PV solution?

As part of their carbon neutrality initiative, Luik Natie, a company specialized in logistics solutions in Belgium, wanted to reduce their CO2 emissions by decarbonizing their industrial activities with a local renewable energy production.

ENGIE implemented an integrated solution that included solar panels, battery storage and an energy management system that helped our client decarbonize their activities with a local renewable energy production. This included 5,000 solar panels deployed on a surface area of 28,000 m2, that complemented a 3 MW production capacity wind turbine previously installed. The solution enabled an increase in more than 20% of Luik Natie’s self-consumption capacity thanks to a battery storage system that was installed in addition to the photovoltaic panels.

How did Emirates National School, Ras Al Khaimah, UAE generate clean energy of 1.19 GWh per year with Distributed Solar PV solution?

Our client, Emirates National School, wanted to identify and implement energy conservation measures at the Ras Al Khaimah campus with a total capacity of approximately 1,200 students.

ENGIE Solutions installed an On-Grid (Zero Export) Photo Voltaic System at this facility. The scope consisted of installing 782.62 kWp on-grid system on the sandwich panel roofs of the school campus, covering the gymnasiums and swimming pools with four point of connection to connect the PV system to the grid.
