The project supports the Emirate’s growing water needs by delivering a reliable and sustainable supply of potable water using advanced RO technology.

Mirfa International Power & Water Company (MIPCO) is a large‑scale gas‑fired cogeneration facility that plays a critical role in supporting Abu Dhabi’s power and water requirements. The project is designed around high‑efficiency combined‑cycle generation, enabling the simultaneous production of electricity and desalinated water from a single integrated system.

Shuweihat 2 is a large‑scale gas‑fired cogeneration power and water desalination plant located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Shuweihat 1 is undergoing a major transformation from a legacy power‑and‑water cogeneration facility into a 1.1 GW natural gas‑fired open‑cycle power plant, designed to deliver flexible reserve capacity to Abu Dhabi’s electricity system. Originally commissioned in 2005, the plant has played a central role in the UAE’s energy infrastructure for nearly two decades.

Barka IV is a large-scale seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant in Oman, supporting potable water supply through efficient, high-capacity desalination technology since 2018.

Barka 3 is a gas fired combined cycle power plant designed to meet Oman’s growing electricity demand through reliable and efficient generation. Operating under long term contractual arrangements, the plant plays an important role in supporting national grid stability.
