ENGIE has identified ongoing fraud and scam attempts involving the unauthorised use of its name, branding, entities and representatives.
These attempts often involve individuals falsely presenting themselves as ENGIE employees or representatives, using names, email addresses or documents that closely resemble official ENGIE communications.
ENGIE Group has also issued a wider warning on similar identity theft attempts targeting the Group, its entities and employees.
What does the fraud involve?
Fraudulent activity may include:
- Fake employment offers or recruitment processes requesting payment or personal information
- Fraudulent commercial proposals, supplier requests or contract opportunities
- Investment offers falsely linked to ENGIE projects or energy-related activities
- Emails or messages attempting to obtain passwords, bank details, confidential information or urgent payments
These communications are not issued by ENGIE.
How can you protect yourself?
We encourage employees, suppliers, partners and stakeholders across the Middle East to remain vigilant and verify all ENGIE-related communications.
Please note:
- ENGIE never requests payment as part of any recruitment process
- Official ENGIE communications are sent through verified corporate channels
- Any unusual request for money, personal data, banking details or confidential information should be treated with caution
- Email addresses, logos and documents should be carefully checked before responding

What should you do if you suspect a scam?
- If you receive a suspicious message claiming to be from ENGIE, do not make any payment, share personal information, or click on unknown links.
- ENGIE remains committed to protecting its stakeholders and maintaining trusted, transparent relationships across the region.
