Ras Ghareb – First private wind IPP in Egypt

The Ras Ghareb Wind Farm, strategically positioned near the Gulf of Suez, Egypt, is a pioneering facility in the country’s renewable energy sector. As the first independent power producer (IPP) project in Egypt, this 262.5 MW onshore wind farm significantly contributes to Egypt’s goal of enhancing renewable energy capacity. Jointly developed by ENGIE (40%), Toyota Tsusho-Eurus (40%), and Orascom Construction(20%), the project showcases innovative collaboration and technical expertise.
